We will contact you to ask for any additional content we need. As soon as the new site is ready we will send you an invoice for the additional cost.
Yes of course. We can rebuild your website using any of the Habitat Web Design styles whenever you like. There is an additional charge of £25.
Yes of course. You can choose your own colour scheme and we will incorporate it into your website when it is built. There is an additional charge of £25.
You can choose any domain name that has not already been registered (we will check this for you). You can only use letters (a-z) or numbers (0-9) and a single hyphen (-). You should aim to make your domain name easy to spell and easy to pronounce. If you are unsure about your choice please send an email with your proposed name and we will check availability and provide general advice on your proposed name.
The hosting has a high specification of 'bandwidth' to ensure your site can be quickly downloaded by visitors. The hosting servers are located in the UK and the data centre features a highly specified infrastructure to include mist fire protection systems, specialised heat and smoke sensors, and unmatched levels of security.
For added peace of mind we will maintain a full back up copy of your website in a seperate location.
Search engines are critical to the success of your website. We will ensure your new site is optimised for search engine performation and will submit it to the key engines. You can find out more about this by looking at our 'Marketing your site' page.
As part of your Internet package we will provide you with an email address eg mary@yoursite.co.uk or bookings@yoursite.co.uk. The part of the address before the @ can be anything you choose. We will provide guidance notes on how to access your e-mail using a programme such as Outlook. Alternatively we can arrange for all e-mails relating to your site to be re-directed to an existing email account eg with yahoo! or hotmail.
WebMail allows you to access your e-mail and send messages from any computer connected to the Internet anywhere in the World. This is a very useful feature that lets you keep up with your e-mail if, for example, you are away from home. It is best used as a temporary measure when you cannot use an e-mail programme such as Outlook on your normal computer. We will provide you with your WebMail account name and password plus a user guide when you order your website.
Our statistics package is designed to provide you with the information you need to monitor your site. You can access the information at anytime in both numerical and graphical form. In particular it shows 'visits' to the site on an hourly, daily and monthly basis.
You do. The domain name will be registered with you as the legal owner. If for any reason in the future you decide to transfer the domain name to another hosting service we will co-operate with this change and we will not make any charge for the transfer.
We will ask you to pay a deposit of £25 when you order your website. This deposit covers the cost of registering the domain name and setting up the hosting and is non-refundable. The balance of the fees are payable when the site has been completed. Payment can be made by cheque drawn on a UK bank in sterling payable to Proportico Limited.
